Global Ambassador of the Year

Open to professional ambassadors affiliated with independent brands operating across multiple global markets. Entrants must demonstrate active industry presence, audience engagement and ongoing professional activity during the eligibility period.

Winning this award positions you among the most respected ambassadors within the professional hair industry, reinforcing credibility, visibility and professional influence on a global level. It provides a powerful platform to strengthen your industry presence, grow future opportunities and highlight the impact of the work you do representing both your brand and the wider professional community. Winners will also be invited to join the judging panel for The Indies - Salon & Stylist Awards UK.

• A written submission outlining your ambassador role, professional positioning and industry impact

• Evidence of audience engagement, education activity, professional influence or global brand representation

• Supporting materials including stage work, campaigns, education, social content or professional activity relevant to the eligibility period. Future direction and plans for continued growth or industry impact may also be included

• All activity must relate to the period 1 May 2025 – 30 April 2026.

How This Category Will Be Judged

Entries will first be reviewed based on the written submission, supporting evidence and overall industry impact. Judges will consider professional presence, industry influence, education, audience engagement and the ambassador’s ability to represent their brand consistently across the global professional hair industry.

Judges may also consider stage work, digital presence, education sessions, community connection, brand support and the overall impact the ambassador has within the professional salon industry across different markets.

To keep the process fair and independent, entries may be reviewed across multiple judging stages by different members of the judging panel.

This category is not open to ambassadors representing conglomerate-owned or publicly listed companies. Entrants without active global professional engagement or ongoing ambassador activity during the eligibility period will not be considered.

To protect the integrity of the awards, all judges are required to declare any professional, commercial or personal relationships with entrants prior to scoring. Any judge with a declared conflict of interest will not be permitted to review, discuss or score the relevant entry or category.

Entry Recommendations

Strong entries should clearly demonstrate ambassador impact within the global professional hair industry. Judges are looking for individuals who consistently represent their brand through education, inspiration, community connection and professional influence across different markets.

Supporting educational work, stage appearances, collaborations, campaigns, social content, audience engagement and examples of industry impact are strongly encouraged.
